    Notes:
The Beach Boys' first single; a #75 hit nationally, but #2 in LA. Written about the new west-coast craze, it has a primitive sound that reveals little of the brilliance to follow, but was catchy enough to dent the national charts.

    Charted on: February 17, 1962
