    Notes:
The first ballad that Brian ever wrote and the first ballad that the Beach Boys released as a single, this song shows the maturity in Brian' s writing as early as 1963. Brian admits that the song was inspired by the Walt Disney song "When You Wish Upon A Star."

The "Surfer Girl" that this song lends it title to and begins, is the first Beach Boys album officially produced by Brian. Although it contains a fair bit of filler, the quality tracks make it an endearing document of the early Beach Boys' sound.
