    Notes:
The second of the two Gershwin/Wilson “collaborations” was based on a frgament called Say My Say. Brian developed it into a typical effortless Wilson melody, with an up-tempo arrangement that reminds everyone of his hitmaking ability. As Peter Reum notes in the recent ESQ magazine, this song does sound like something the two great American songwriters would have come up if they wrote together.

The theme of the song is timelessness, and Scott Bennett’s lyric notes that true love and the stars above are both timeless. To this can surely be added great songwriting, of which this is a just another example.
